Valérian is the CEO and a co-founder at Quandela.
Quandela is a start-up company leader in the conception of solid-state and compact quantum light sources that will tremendously boost the development of devices in the field of quantum photonics. Such devices will be the key players for the emerging of quantum calculator or for the deployment of a quantum Internet network that will pave the ways to perfectly secured communications.
Valérian leads the company’s growth for the success of the deployment of Quandela’s technology in key technologies. He drives Quandela’s corporate development. Valérian is a strong supporter of the second Quantum revolution and believes that the deployment of new scalable technologies in the coming years will form a watershed in the development of future information and communication technologies (ICT).
Prior to Quandela, Valérian was a research engineer in the Center for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (CNRS – Université Paris-Sud) where he conducted innovations in solid-state quantum photonics. As president between 2012 and 2015, he led the administrative management in the charity Metis.
Valérian holds a PhD in Physics from Université Paris-Saclay, an Engineering MSc in Optics from the Institut d’Optique (Ecole Supérieure d’Optique) and an MSc in Nanophysics from Ecole Polytechnique. Later, Valérian followed entrepreneurial classes at HEC and at IncubAlliance (Orsay).
